Kate Middleton’s cousin (well, second cousin once removed if you want to get technical) is baring all for Playboy. Katrina Darling, a 21-year-old dancer known for stripping to “God Save the Queen,” will appear on the September cover of the popular men’s mag.

Kate and Katrina didn’t play together as children, nor did Ms. Darling attend the royal wedding. In fact, the two have never met and Katrina didn’t even know she was related to Kate until reporters discovered the connection last year. The resulting publicity hasn’t been pleasant.

“I’ve been called God knows what in God knows how many languages,” Katrina told RumorFix. “I try not to take the negative attention as a personal attack. I try not to pay attention. I try not try read the press too much, so I don’t know what they’re saying about me.”

In case you’re wondering, Katrina’s paternal grandmother and Kate’s great grand father were brother and sister.

Despite being related to royalty, Katrina isn’t letting the family tie go to her head. She hasn’t reached out to Kate, saying a meeting would be “awkward,” and isn’t interested in dating Prince Harry because she prefers her men “rough around the edges.” 

The September issue of Playboy hits newsstands August 17. Katrina Darling will be featured in an eight-page pictorial.
