Fans may soon see a whole lot more of Dancing With The Stars babe Karina Smirnoff. According to Playboy founder Hugh Hefner, the Ukrainian beauty recently bared it all for the popular men's magazine.

"The May issue of Playboy is unforgettable with Dancing With The Stars Karina Smirnoff on the cover & nude inside," Hefner tweeted on Wednesday.

While Karina's male fans may pleased with the news, ABC is reportedly fuming.

“ABC publicity department controls the image of this show with an iron first," said a source from the network. "It’s a cash cow and they are not going to allow its reputation to be soiled by a dancer who wants to do Playboy."

If that's true, than why on earth did ABC choose Kendra Wilkinson, one of Hugh Hefner's ex-girlfriends, not to mention former stripper, Playboy model, and sex tape star as a contestant?

The Playboy spread wasn't the first time Karina has posed nude. The 33-year-old beauty stripped down in 2009 for PETA's "I'd Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur" campaign. Check out the photos below.

Karina Smirnoff was born in Kharkiv, Ukraine, but moved to the United States when she was a young girl. Karina, a five-time U.S. National Champion, World Trophy Champion, and Asian Open Champion, has danced with Mario Lopez, Billy Ray Cyrus, Aaron Carter, and Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino in past seasons of Dancing With the Stars. This year, Smirnoff is partnered with Karate Kid's Ralph Macchio.
