This weekend sees the release of 2 potential blockbusters: Angelina Jolie’s spy thriller, Salt, and the family flick, Ramona and Beezus featuring Bridget Moynahan as a gorgeous MILF.
Salt stars Angelina Jolie as Evelyn Salt, a CIA officer accused of being a Russian spy by a defector. Sounding eerily similar to The Bourne Identity, Salt goes on the run and eludes captors by kicking ass, over and over. At one point, the plot twist will suggest that she may be a Russian spy after all. I’m sold.
Ramona and Beezus is a family movie based on a series of books by Beverly Cleary, that follow the adventures of sisters Ramona and Beatrice “Beezus” Quimby. At the surface and without any reference, this sounds like a tired old, sibling annoyance plotline with different actors. Not to be a hater, but… zzzzzz… The saving grace may be hot mom Bridget Moynahan (I, Robot; Lord of War) and hot Aunt Ginnifer Goodwin (Big Love, He’s Not That Into You). If your kids make you go see this, at least you have something to distract you.
